From Lab to Pitch: How deep tech investors decide
Deep tech startups play by different rules: longer development cycles, hardware risk and markets that may not exist yet. So how do investors decide whether to back a team at pre-seed? At our next Investor Insight Session, Jannis Duckek from Marvelous joins us at the JUNI Campus to share how a deep tech VC looks at early-stage founders.
Marvelous is a Berlin-based pre-seed and seed VC investing in deep tech hardware. Jannis works with the fund as Founders Associate and is also a PhD candidate at the European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS) at the University of Münster, where he researches climate deep tech startups and their value propositions. He also mentors early-stage founders in deep tech and green chemistry on fundraising, business models and pitching.
