Tesla is a fast-paced environment where “impossible” problems are solved every day. The Gigathon is your chance to step out of the lecture hall and into the heart of manufacturing excellence:
- Real Tesla challenges: Work on a high-impact logistics and supply chain problem directly from Giga Berlin. Use real datasets to develop working concepts.
- Expert mentoring: Get direct guidance from Tesla engineers and JUNI coaches throughout the day. Refine your ideas with the people who build the mission.
- Fast-track your career: This event is a scouting hub. Top performers will be shortlisted for internships starting in Q4/2026.

Key facts
We have designed a compact, high-impact program to give you a full Tesla immersion:
- Morning | Arrival & technical briefing: Registration and safety induction, followed by a full technical briefing on the challenge objectives, datasets and starter kits.
- All day | Team formation & prototyping: Form teams and begin developing solutions. Tesla experts remain present to provide technical support and guidance.
- Early afternoon | Pitch upload: Finalize your technical solutions and upload your pitch decks. All teams get the chance to pitch on stage stage in front of the Tesla jury.
- 5:00 PM | Keynotes & live pitching: The evening event opens with Tesla keynotes, followed by live pitches to a Tesla jury and the winner selection.
- Late evening | Get-together: Celebrate the day with an informal networking session featuring finger food, drinks and music.

All applications will be jointly reviewed by JUNI and Tesla engineers. We will notify you regarding the status of your application in due course.

Join the Gigathon & team up.
9th of July 2026
Start the event by joining forces with high-potential peers in interdisciplinary teams to solve a real-world engineering challenge. The day culminates in a live pitch session where all teams present to a Tesla jury, followed by an immediate winner selection.

Fellow profiles & selection
We are scouting for high-potential Bachelor or Master’s students and Young Professionals who thrive under pressure and love solving complex problems.
STEM focus: Students in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Automation Technology, or similar technical disciplines.
Business & Operations: Exceptional students in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration with a very strong technical affinity.
What we look for: Problem-solving skills, teamwork and leadership potential.

FAQs
Who can participate in the Gigathon?
We are looking for Bachelor and Master students as well as Young Professionals (up to 2 years after graduation). The focus is on STEM disciplines (Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics) and Business students with a strong analytical or supply chain background.
Do I need a team to apply?
No, you apply individually. We believe in the power of diverse perspectives, so we will facilitate team formation on the day of the event. You will work in teams of 4–5 people, combining different skill sets from engineering to operations.
Are there any costs involved?
Participation in the Gigathon is completely free for all selected participants. We will provide catering (breakfast, lunch, and snacks) as well as drinks during the networking event.
What should I bring with me?
You will need your own laptop and charger. We will provide high-speed Wi-Fi and access to all necessary datasets and software tools required for the challenge.
Is this a recruitment event?
Yes. While the focus is on solving the challenge, Tesla’s recruitment team will be present throughout the day. The Gigathon serves as a fast-track selection process for internships starting in late 2026.
What is the "Logistics & Engineering Challenge"?
Without giving too much away: You will work with real-world parameters from Giga Berlin’s supply chain. Your task will be to optimize flow, reduce bottlenecks, or design automated solutions for internal material movements. You will receive a detailed briefing on-site.
